General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The GDPR is a European Union law designed to enhance and consolidate data protection rights and regulations for the benefit of EU citizens. The GDPR applies to both EU organisations and non-EU organisations (regardless of size) that provide goods and services to EU citizens or that use tracking technologies (such as cookies or web beacons) to monitor the behaviour of EU citizens.

You can find out more about EU’s General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) here.

1. Personal data - What information do we collect and why do we collect it?

We use the website to offer a range of features, services, applications and tools that are only available if tracking technologies are used. You can block, delete, or disable these technologies at any time if your browser, installed application, or device allows you to. However, please note that if you opt out of cookies or similar such technologies, you may not be able to use certain features, services, applications or tools on the website.

These technologies generally allow our webpages, services, applications and tools to store relevant information in your browser or device. They then read this information so that our servers and internal systems can identify you. Where appropriate, we protect our cookies and similar technologies to ensure that only we and/or our authorised service providers can read the information. We do this by giving them a unique identifier which ensures that the information can only be read by us.

This website collects and uses personal data for the following purposes:

1.1. Google Analytics

Like many other websites, this website uses Google Analytics (GA) to analyse visitors’ use of our website. We use this data to see how many visitors use our website, so that we can form a clearer picture of how these visitors find our website and use it. We are also able to follow the visitors’ "journey" through the website.

Although GA records data on, for example, your geographical location, device, browser, and operating system, none of this data will be able to identify you personally to us. GA also records your computer's IP address. The IP address may well be used to identify you personally, but Google has not given us access to this information. We regard Google as a third-party data processor (see section 2 below).

GA uses cookies, which you can read more about in Google’s development guides. For your information, our website uses analytics.js implementation of GA.

Disabling cookies in your Internet browser will prevent GA from tracking your visits to the individual pages of this website.

You can find out more about Google Analytics here.

1.2. Google Tag Manager

We constantly strive to improve customer experience on our website by giving visitors more personalised and targeted promotions and offers. We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to do this.

GTM is a small piece of code that helps us track the behaviour of users on our websites. GTM then passes this data on to our Google Analytics account. All the data is then organised. We can then review and evaluate the data with a view to making possible improvements to the website as well as for remarketing campaigns.

We regard Google as a third-party data processor (see section 2 below).

Find out more about Google Tag Manager.

1.3. Contaction us, order and download forms etc.

If you contact us using, for example, the contact form on our website, or if you download "gated content" from our website, your data is stored and e-mailed to us via Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).

1.4. Cookies on the website

We treat data obtained from cookies and other technologies as non-personal data. However, insofar as IP addresses or similar such identifiers are considered personal data under local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal data.

Similarly, if non-personal data is combined with personal data, we treat the combined data as personal data in accordance with this privacy policy.

Randers Tegl's websites use the following cookies.

For more information please visit Randers Tegl's cookie policy.

2. Our third-party data processors

We use a number of third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties are carefully selected. They comply with all the provisions of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR).

3. How long do we store your data?

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes set out in our 'consent' page. The purposes are to keep you updated on product knowledge, product launches, mailing of newsletters and event information.

You can contact us at any time if you want your personal data removed from our databases (see section 6). We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible (and in any case within a month, although we may have to respond later in particular cases).

4. Data breaches

We will report any unlawful data breach on this website's database (or on any database(s) belonging to our third-party data processors) to all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach taking place if it is found that personal data (that has been stored in an identifiable way) has been stolen.
